Ken Jacobe has been a resident of Tyler, Texas since 1946 and has been involved in construction most of his adult life. Ken served in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserve for 11 years and circled the globe and visited 42 countries on the Navy's first nuclear powered surface ship unit, "Task Force One".
With a college education and a strong background of experience, Ken earned the leadership of Jacobe Bros. Construction in 1965 and later became President and CEO. Ken is currently responsible for all administrative operations of the company.
Ken has been married to his wife, Ouida, since 1962 and their two sons and three grandchildren have a very close family relationship. Ken has played a very active role in his local church since 1974. As an acting church elder, he has coordinated and overseen construction related missionary operations in 10 different states and 2 foreign countries.
Bryan Jacobe was born and raised in Tyler, Texas and grew up working in the construction field throughout high school. He attended college at Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science in 1989. Bryan went to work for a civil engineering firm in Houston, Texas as an estimator and was promoted to a Senior Project Manager position.
In 1994, Bryan returned to Tyler to join his father Ken and his brother Keith in the family business. Bryan's current position is President and is responsible for the development of all projects from conception to construction. He also oversees the company's Construction Management and Design-Build programs.
Bryan has been married for 16 years to Kim and they have a son Zachary. As a family, Bryan, Kim and Zachary have been very active in their church for many years being involved in the Children's ministry; as well as, audio/video and many other activities.
Keith Jacobe was a resident of Tyler, Texas and has worked in all facets of commercial and institutional construction including Foreman, Project Superintendent, Project Engineer and Construction Manager. He was responsible for managing all construction operations with Jacobe Brothers Construction including Owner Relationships, overseeing Project Managers and Superintendents and all other field related activities.
He is greatly missed by the entire JBC family and clients alike.
Keith is survived by his wife, Mary, his son, Wesley Blalock, daughter-in-law, Erin and granddaughters, Avery and Camden of Tyler. He is also survived by his son, Hunter Blalock and grandsons, Blaine and Ryan of Tyler.
Keith was an accomplished musician and specialized in piano; having a college education in Music Theory, he was very active in his church music department and lead Praise and Worship. He also provided music training and helped establish music departments in other churches.
Keith also has been active in many construction related missionary projects in several states.
Director of Business Development
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Derek Watson works with JBC’s clients through the project development phase, assisting in space planning and programming, project team development and coordination.
Before joining JBC, Derek spent 12 years working as the principal for the Tyler Gospel Chapel's church-sponsored school. As the principal, Derek had the opportunity to work with his wife of 24 years, Kelly, who still serves as a school supervisor.
Outside his work at JBC, Derek takes an annual mission trip to Kenya.
Derek and his wife, Kelly, have one daughter, Brooke, and according to Derek, “she still thinks her daddy is the greatest.” They enjoy riding and training their family horse, Patriot, in their spare time.
Sandra started her work with JBC in May of 2000 as the Office Manager/ Bookkeeper. In her 13 years she has witnessed tremendous growth in the company. As a result, Sandra has had to help orchestrate expansive changes in software implementation and job management capabilities. She has been married to her husband, Steve, for 33 years.
They have three wonderful children, twin granddaughters and three grandsons.
Away from JBC you might find her spoiling her grandchildren, riding motorcycles with her husband, reading or playing with her dogs, Harley and Sassie Mae. Sandra has been an active member of a local church for 14 years.
Her joy is is volunteering with Parental Care Ministries, having been to Uganda on a mission trip and looking forward to many more. Sandra serves as a Volunteer at CASA, sings with the adult choir and volunteers for the East Texas Crisis Center.
Joined JBC in 2009, promoted to superintendent in 2010, soon promoted to project manager.
Prior to joining JBC, Mike spent 20 years with Wal-Mart Stores in various positions in operations. After leaving Wal-Mart, Mike started a residential construction company building multiple homes. Relocated back to Tyler in 2006, with his wife of 33 years.
Outside his work at JBC, Mike volunteers for various roles with his local church.
Mike and his wife, Kim, have one daughter, Jennifer, two sons, Jason and Johnathan. Mike enjoys fishing, photography and reading.
Senior Project Manager
Hired in 2007, Brent Bailey was soon promoted to Superintendent and then Project Manager for Jacobe Brothers.
He was 1st exposed to the construction field when his father built the family home while he was but a toddler. He went on to design and build his own custom home here in East Texas. The Longview News-Journal featured the project in 1995.
Brent delivers over 25 years diversified experience in the maintenance and construction field. In addition, he holds an Associates Degree in Applied Computer Science from TSTC, Marshall and graduated with Board of Regents academic distinction in 1999. Brent currently serves as a Senior Project Manager for Jacobe Brothers Construction. His duties include working with architects, owners and subcontractors during the design and development of a project through the bid process to move-in. Clients appreciate Brent’s attention to detail and superior customer service.
Brent and his wife, Colleen, have been married for 30 years. The couple grew up in the same church where each was employed for nearly two decades. God blessed them with a child in 2003. Ryan is the joy of their lives and is now learning the trade when the threesome attends the Lowe’s Build and Grow Kids Clinics.
Project Manager & Estimator
Ryan Gould was born and raised in Plano, Texas where he was exposed to the construction industry as a young adult. He volunteered with McKinney Habitat for Humanity, building multiple homes during his summer breaks from school. In 2008 he left Plano to attend the University of Texas at Tyler. He graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.
Ryan started working for Jacobe Brothers Construction as a part time intern during college. After graduation he was hired full time as a Project Manager where he deals with design-build projects. Ryan has extensive experience with various construction software applications including Revit, AutoCAD, Primavera, Timberline, and PlanSwift.
In his free time Ryan enjoys designing and screen printing t-shirts, playing paintball and serving at his local church. He recently proposed to his girlfriend, Jessica, and they are due to wed in April of 2014.
Project Manager & Estimator
Dale is a native of Texas, born in Clarendon. He grew up in southern California where he attended 2 years of college, majoring in general engineering. He obtained his contractor’s license in California in 1965.
Dale currently serves as estimator and project manager for Jacobe Brothers Construction. His duties include; working with architects, owners and subcontractors during the design/development of a project through the bid process and finally through the construction process.
With 50 years of construction experience, Dale serves as an invaluable resource to the JBC team.
Dale is married to Yolanda; they have 2 children and 3 grandchildren, which they enjoy very much.
